  1. Hello Kenneth and thanks for your input. Only the TV competition promoters would know the answer to that question. However, I do know that that free entries on the website are added to the same pool of entrants who have used paid methods such as premium telephone rate calls and sms text entry. All winners are chosen from that pool at random for that particular prize. It’s a bit like a raffle ticket in that sense! Please feel free to contact me if you need any further info. Good luck, Martin
PS. There have been winners of big prizes who have used this website for information and have used free entry. I doubt very much that the TV prize promoters would risk their valuable reputation and not consider free entries that have been submitted. Besides that, if a UK promoter only allows paid entry then that would mean they are running a lottery and would require an appropriate (and very expensive!) license to do so. That is why these companies allow free website entry or 2nd class postcard entry (currently 53p at time of writing 1/9/14) which is still deemed as ‘free’ by the UK Gambling Act 2005. It seems apparent that more and more TV competitions are now becoming prize draws which include a paid entry method and/or a postcard entry and no facility to get free website entry! The moral of the story. Use free website entry wherever possible. Martin
