Why is it always people from the north that win and not the people down south?
Hi and thanks for spotting this. It seems that you could be right but only in the case of Dickinson’s Real Deal competitions. My only explanations at this point is that maybe it’s because most of the TV shows are presently televised in Northern towns. That would in turn attract more Northern TV viewers to the show.
Other competitions on ITV seem to favour people in the South as winners but that could be because there is a more dense population in the South.
One exception to this is the fact that I don’t notice too many winners from London where there is a very dense population millions of people.
I’m not sure why London has a lower than average proportion of winners but my thoughts are that a higher percentage of people in London are not UK residents and are not eligible for free entry.
Another reason could be that they are all too busy working hard and miss out on TV, who knows?
All I know is that all entries are placed in a pool and the winners are always picked out at random.
My advise to anyone would be to enter as many competitions as possible.
The more you enter, the more chance you have of being picked as the lucky winner. The same would go for lottery tickets but you will run the risk of losing money.
It’s impossible to lose any money with the competitions I feature! The truth of the matter is ‘You have to be in ’em to win ’em’!
